- 6 PM: Nickel City: BOGO sliders (until sold out)
Wednesday

- 5–9 PM: Jacoby's: Burger Night
Thursday–Friday
- 3–6 PM: Blue Owl Brewing: happy hour, round two
Tuesday: frites, lamb burgers, then sliders
Serenade at the W Austin
Why Serenade: Serenade is an all-day brasserie with a Texas accent on the ground floor of W Austin, with a French garden-inspired dining room and an open-air courtyard. It's steps from ACL Live at the Moody Theater, so it's an easy pick before or after a show.
📍 200 Lavaca St (Seaholm / 2nd Street District) · ⏰ Every Tuesday, 4 PM until sold out
The deal: Frites Night. Steak frites, chicken frites or moules frites for $30, and a seasonal spritz for $12.
CheersMap tip: "Until sold out" means it can run out, so aim for close to 4 PM.
Carpenters Hall
What makes Carpenters Hall special: Carpenters Hall sits in the original 1948 Carpenters Local 1266 union hall on the edge of Zilker Park, with many of the building's original details kept. The Southern-inspired kitchen salt-bakes, smokes, ferments and slow-roasts, and The Infatuation's review says it has "yet to eat a bad bite here" and calls out its picturesque patio.
📍 400 Josephine St (Zilker / Barton Springs) · ⏰ Tuesdays in November, from 5 PM
The deal: A Cumin-Spiced Lamb Burger for $16, $20 with a beer, or $24 with a beer and wedge fries.
What's on it: Double lamb patties, whipped Boursin, pickled red onion, wild arugula and sun-dried tomato aioli. The wedge fries come with smoky harissa mayo.
CheersMap tip: It's November only, so three Tuesdays are left: Nov 10, 17 and 24.
Nickel City
History of Nickel City: Nickel City opened in 2017 in the old Longbranch Inn space on East 11th Street, a spot that has been an East Austin watering hole since 1934, and it kept the original bar top. It has made North America's 50 Best Bars extended list (No. 70 in 2025, No. 96 in 2026), and the Delray Cafe trailer out back serves Detroit-style coneys, sliders and wings.
📍 1133 E 11th St (East 11th / East 12th) · ⏰ Every Tuesday, 6 PM until sold out
The deal: BOGO sliders. Buy one, get one.
CheersMap tip: "Share with a friend… or don't," says Nickel City's own post. Sliders go until they sell out, so don't wait too long.
Tuesday game plan: Frites and a spritz at Serenade at 4, a lamb burger at Carpenters Hall at 5, then east to Nickel City for 6 PM sliders. Not up for three dinners? Split plates as you go.
Wednesday: East Cesar Chavez burger crawl
Blue Owl Brewing
Why Blue Owl: Blue Owl opened in East Austin in late 2015 as the first production brewery to make only sour-mashed beers, using naturally occurring bacteria and yeast on the grain to build tartness into each beer.
📍 2400 E Cesar Chavez St #300 (East Cesar Chavez) · ⏰ Wednesday–Friday, 3–6 PM
The deal: Blue Owl's new happy hour, per its Oct 28 Instagram post: $5 pints of any beer (16+ styles, sour and traditional), a $12 one-topping pizza, $3 chips and salsa and $5 pretzels.
CheersMap tip: Blue Owl's website still lists the older happy hour ($3 pints of select drafts, same days and hours), so prices may vary while things update. Blue Owl is closed Monday and Tuesday.
Jacoby's Restaurant & Mercantile
The story behind Jacoby's: The Jacoby family founded Jacoby Feed and Seed in Melvin, Texas, in January 1981, and the beef is raised by the family in Central Texas, hand-cut and dry-aged 21 to 28 days. The covered patio and deck overlook the Colorado River.
📍 3235 E Cesar Chavez St (East Cesar Chavez) · ⏰ Wednesday Burger Night, 5–9 PM
The deal: A $15 half-pound dry-aged Jacoby beef burger and fries all night, plus $5 Old Fashioneds and $5 frozen margaritas.
CheersMap tip: "All night" means supper hours, and Jacoby's lists Wednesday supper as 5–9 PM. Burger, fries and a cocktail come to $20.
Wednesday game plan: Start with a pint and a pretzel at Blue Owl before 6, then head east down Cesar Chavez to Jacoby's for burger night.
Thursday–Friday: encore
Blue Owl's happy hour runs again Thursday and Friday, 3–6 PM. An easy after-work stop to close out the week.
