Privacy Policy

Effective October 21, 2026 · Operated by CheersMap

CheersMap is a free guide to food and drink deals. You don't need an account to use it, and we don't sell or rent personal information.

What we collect

• Anonymous usage stats. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies, and a small first-party visit counter. The counter stores the page path and an approximate city/region/country from your connection. It identifies a visit with a one-way hash of your IP address and browser that changes every day; raw IP addresses are not stored.
• Browser storage. The site saves a few small values in your browser's local storage: your preferred sort order, a random anonymous ID so a deal vote counts once, and a note that today's visit was already counted. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
• Location (only if you ask). If you choose to sort by distance, your browser asks for permission and your location is used on your device to sort deals. It isn't sent to or stored by us.
• What you send us. If you vote, comment, submit a deal or venue, or sign up for updates, we keep what you entered (for example a display name, comment text, deal details or your email) so we can review, publish or reply to it. Comments are public; emails are not.

How we use it

To run and improve the site, verify and publish deals, prevent spam and abuse, and respond to you. We don't sell data or share it for advertising. Our hosting and analytics provider (Vercel) processes data on our behalf.

Your choices

You can clear your browser's site data at any time, decline location access, and use the site without submitting anything. To have a comment, submission or email removed, write to hello@cheersmap.com.

Children

CheersMap is meant for a general adult audience and many listings involve alcohol. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its effective date. Questions? See Contact.
